ON THE DAY OF THE CONSECRATION OF BISHOP KAY: Our Founder L.F. Figari kissing the ring that identifies the new Bishop Kay Schmalhausen, SCV, as a successor of the Apostles. Bishop Kay had previously been the Chaplain at the Sodalit run Catholic University of Saint Paul, in Arequipa (Peru).
L.F. Figari, Founder of the Christian Life Movement, was chosen to pronounce the conclusive words to the Holy Father at the Encounter of Pope Benedict XVI with the Ecclesial Movements in Rome. In the presence of more than 250 thousand people gathered in St. Peter's Square, L.F. Figari addressed words of gratitude to the Pope. In name of all the members of the ecclesial movements and new communities, he reaffirmed their commitment to contribute in communion with Peter and under Peter to the great mission of the Church: to proclaim the Lord Jesus to the world and to invite humanity and all earthly realities to transformation according to the divine Plan
After addressing the Pope he approached the Holy Father to express his respect and personal gratitude.

Delegations from different areas of the Diocese of El Callao assisted in a meeting with the CLM Founder, Luis Fernando Figari on September 9th. We can see a large group of women carrying the image of Our Lady of Reconciliation, as one of CLM's apostolates: "The Pilgrim Virgin".
With deep and ardent affection, our Founder expresses his prayers and those of the Sodalit Family for Pope Benedict XVI during a time when he is being absurdly and unjustly attacked because of a misinterpretation of his words from an academic speech in Regensburg (Germany).
During his visit to Canada, Eduardo Regal met with the staff of the not-for-profit organization called Solidarity in Action Inc. He talked about the concept of "Building Bridges of Solidarity". This organization is a non-denominational group made up of young people who are developing international solidarity experiences and environmental and educational programs, and organizing solidarity exportation. They also participate in volunteer work in Canada.
